Bonnie, the Hairless Cat

So this is Bonnie . . .

Bonnie is a hairless cat.  I can't stand Bonnie - she runs around and screeches and isn't friendly at all!  I'm not sure why these guys have her as a pet, but she was here before I was, so I put up with her.  They don't seem to mind her; she's just always there.

Well this happened today . . .

For some reason, Bonnie actually likes me now!  This cat won't leave me alone!  She has randomly decided I am her favorite person!  Yuck!!!

Today was OK at school, but the little kids are CrAzY!  I'm having a difficult time enjoying the kids because of the language barrier.  It's so frustrating - on both sides!  I hope it starts getting better fast because I really don't know if I like this right now!  I guess when they can speak English fluently (in a few years) things will be great!  I am starting Russian classes on Monday, so hopefully it will get better!

There is one boy in particular that makes things really difficult.  The school tells me they won't kick him out of the class because "he has a lot of potential."  Funny thing happened with him the other day - he put tape on his mouth while he was being rowdy and I didn't stop him because it made him be quiet!

I count that as a victory!

Things are kind of intense here.  I feel like I have been here a lot longer than I really have.  It's cool, I just miss a lot of dumb stuff.  I miss all of my family, of course, but things like grass, clean air, cereal, normal ketchup, smiling, and other weird stuff like that!  You know how the Russian's are known for not smiling?  Well it's accurate!  Unless you are drunk or at home, people just don't smile!  So to fit in, I can't smile at people, which is so bizarre to me!  Apparently, Russians think Americans are huge flirts because we are always smiling!
